ESTIMATION MANAGERResponsibilities:1. Evaluation & Feasibility check of new RFQs received from the Design Team.2. Calculate machining time based on established process3. Detailed time study of all the manufacturing process to determine cost including admin and in-direct costs4. Take ownership of costing tasks and deliverables while leading a team of engineers.5. Develop reports and highlight KPIs to the management6. Accurately monitor Actual vs Estimated Values7. Identify Cost saving opportunities8. Inter-Department co-ordination with Design, Production, Procurement, Stores & Finance9. Maintain the data of all the materials and processes, update whenever required10. Develop a separate cost sheet from scratch of non-standard and highly customized projectsTechnical Skills
Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Proficiency in calculating production costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overheads.
Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, or relevant engineering principles (e.g., mechanical, industrial, sheet metal).
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze production data, historical costs, and performance metrics to create accurate estimates.
Project Management: Familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and methodologies to estimate timelines and resource allocation.
Technical Drawing & CAD: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD models to assess production requirements.
Software Proficiency:
Estimation tools (e.g., CostX, Sage Estimating, or in-house software).
ERP systems for resource planning.
Spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for cost modeling and calculations.
