Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Study and analyze tender documents, technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities). Identify scope of work, project requirements, and applicable standards (IEC, IS, etc.). Review client's inquiry to understand exact product and system requirements. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering material, labor, fabrication, wiring, testing, and logistics. Estimate costs for components such as switchgear, relays, PLCs, control devices, busbars, etc. Collect price quotations from vendors/suppliers for bought-out items. Prepare and maintain cost database for recurring components. Evaluate project feasibility and suggest value engineering options to reduce cost. Prepare and submit professional technical and commercial proposals. Ensure accuracy in costing, technical compliance, and delivery timelines. Coordinate with Sales / Business Development team for quotation submission. Follow up with clients for clarification and negotiation. Liaise with Design, Purchase, and Production teams for accurate cost and technical data. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for price negotiations and lead times. Support Project team during order execution phase for any estimation-related clarifications. Maintain records of all estimation data, submitted offers, and revisions. Update project estimation logs and tender tracking sheets. Prepare periodic reports on estimation performance and quotation success rates.

Key Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and switchgear components (MCC, PCC, APFC, Control Panels, PLC Panels). Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems. Analytical and numerical ability for cost evaluation. Good communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. 1-3years of experience in estimation or tendering within an electrical panel manufacturing or EPC environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
