Prepare
detailed cost estimates
for renovation and interior projects
Estimate costs for:
Civil works (masonry, plastering, flooring)
Interior works (carpentry, false ceiling, painting)
MEP services (electrical, plumbing, HVAC - if applicable)
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Develop project budgets and cost breakdowns
3. Rate Analysis & Pricing
Prepare
rate analysis
for new and renovation items
Update material and labor rates based on current market prices
Compare vendor and subcontractor quotations
Assist management in finalizing project pricing and margins
4. Tendering & Quotation Support
Prepare
detailed quotations
and cost proposals for clients
Assist in tender submissions, clarifications, and negotiations
Coordinate with procurement and vendors for competitive pricing
Support revisions and variation pricing during client discussions
5. Site Coordination & Verification
Visit sites to verify existing conditions before estimation
Coordinate with site engineers to confirm scope and quantities
Validate measurements during execution for billing purposes
Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions
6. Billing & Variations
Prepare
running account (RA) bills
and final bills
Measure executed quantities and prepare client invoices
Handle
variation orders
, additional works, and change requests
Support claims and cost justifications with proper documentation
7. Cost Control & Reporting
Track project costs vs estimated budgets
Monitor material consumption and labor productivity
Identify cost overruns and suggest corrective actions
Prepare cost reports for management review
8. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain estimation records, BOQs, quotations, and approvals
Support audits and internal cost reviews
Ensure estimates comply with company standards and contract terms
9. Software & Tools Usage
Use estimation and drafting tools such as:
AutoCAD (quantity verification)
Excel (BOQs, cost sheets)
Estimation software (if applicable)
Maintain updated cost databases
10. Coordination with Other Departments
Work closely with:
Design team
Procurement
Project management
Accounts for billing and payments
Provide technical and cost support throughout the project lifecycle
