Job Description

1. Estimation & Costing

Prepare detailed

quantity take-offs

from drawings (AutoCAD, PDFs, and hard copies). Develop

BOQs (Bill of Quantities)

as per project specifications. Perform

rate analysis

for civil works (excavation, RCC, finishing, masonry, infrastructure works, etc.). Prepare

preliminary and detailed cost estimates

for tenders and internal budgeting. Evaluate project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.

2. Tendering & Documentation

Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and conditions of contract. Prepare

tender queries

and coordinate with clients/consultants. Finalize

bidding documents

, compliance sheets, and costing sheets. Support the tender team in submitting competitive bids on time.

3. Coordination

Coordinate with

project managers, planning engineers, site teams

, and design teams for data. Interact with

contractors, suppliers, and vendors

to obtain quotations and compare rates. Negotiate with vendors to get market-competitive prices.

4. Technical & Market Knowledge

Knowledge of

PWD, CPWD, SOR, DAR

and latest market rates. Stay updated with

materials, labor costs, construction trends, and industry practices

. Analyze risks and prepare alternative costing scenarios.

5. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare

estimation reports, cost summaries, comparison sheets

, and value engineering analysis. Maintain a database of

material prices, subcontractor rates

, and past project costs.
