Job Description

Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), or specialized works depending on project scope. Identify materials, manpower, and equipment requirements for the project. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations and compare prices. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and rate analysis. Support the tendering team in preparing technical and commercial proposals. Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, project requirements, and safety codes. Liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients for clarifications. Track and update cost data, market rates, and price trends. Assist in value engineering and cost control measures during project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field. 2-7 years of experience in estimation (civil / MEP / construction projects). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, PlanSwift, CostX). Good analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
