Job Description

The Interior Estimator Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role ensures that all estimations are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyse architectural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications to prepare accurate estimates. Calculate quantities of materials, labour, and equipment required for interior works such as joinery, civil, electrical, and MEP components. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, rate analyses, and comparison sheets for supplier quotations. Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate costing and timely submission of estimates. Request and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare tender documents, technical submissions, and pricing schedules for client review. Support the project team in budget preparation and cost control during execution. Attend site visits and meetings when required to understand scope and work conditions. Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering options. Maintain a database of material costs, vendor details, and past project rates.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

,

Interior Design

, or a related field. Minimum

2-5 years

of experience in estimation for interior design or fit-out projects. Experience with commercial, residential, or retail interior projects preferred.
