Job Overview:

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for furniture manufacturing projects by analysing materials, labour, and production processes. They perform quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective and feasible project execution. Their work supports budgeting, pricing, and value engineering decisions.

Responsibilities:

Lead the estimation process for furniture manufacturing projects, considering materials, labour, and other associated costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and specifications. Perform detailed quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and project specifications. Rate Analysis of all the manufactured products. Verify and manage the quantity and quality of materials required for each furniture manufacturing project. Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure accurate cost assessments aligned with project requirements. Provide cost-related insights to support value engineering and design decisions

Requirements:

2-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the furniture, interior fit- out, or Civil industry. Proven expertise in quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and material costing. Hands-on experience with technical drawings, BOQs, and estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Excel, ERP tools). Experience working closely with design, production, and procurement teams to align costs with project requirements. Familiarity with woodworking materials, furnishing components, and production techniques is essential.
