Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities
o Prepare block cost of projects for business decision as per FEL1 and project requirements with respect to project timeline.
o Prepare project Capex and NFA for approval thereof as per FEL2 & FEL3 within project timeline.
o Prepare cost estimate for the business proposals for both internal and external(bidding) projects as per business and project requirements within the stipulated timeline defined by the business / Project.
o Gather market intelligence information, new construction techniques / methodologies, new products for construction and identify vendors as part of making a good database for estimation and value engineering.
o Monitor consumption of approved budget along the project lifecycle as a part of lesson learnt and identifying risk components in order to alert the project team in time.
o Cost estimation of extra items (Post order amendments) of the execution of contract, negotiate and finalise with vendor for the same.
Roles & Responsibilities
o Prepare multi-disciplinary cost estimates for a variety of medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems
o Discuss, coordinate, and resolve estimating input/queries with project team and engineering team to ensure required accuracy of estimate in timely manner.
o Evaluating BOQs, drawings, & schedules
o Preparation of preliminary BoQ from drawings for the quantity assessment.
o Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers as and when need arises.
o Prepare SOR location wise & project category wise. Also to review & update the SOR quarterly or as and when need arises.
o Perform complete analysis and cost validations using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices, and component benchmarking
o Prepare and establish parametric values for various types of projects based on past similar projects data.
o Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of the product
o Based on Client's budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out Value engineering studies
o Support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities, estimate risks and option analysis.
o Perform cost reconciliation to previous estimates as project develops
o Contribute to Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle and keep a track on the consumption of approved budget as a part of lesson learnt.
