Job Description

An Estimation & Billing Engineer's involves analyzing engineering drawings to create accurate cost estimates and manage project billing, ensuring financial alignment between completed work and invoicing. Key responsibilities include quantity take-offs, cost forecasting, budget monitoring, managing contractor and client bills, and preparing documentation for payments and approvals. Essential skills are proficiency in construction software, knowledge of Rate analysis and Bar Bending Schedules, strong interpretation of technical drawings, and excellent financial acumen.

Quantity Estimation:

Reviewing blueprints and technical drawings to prepare detailed quantity estimates for materials and labor.

Cost Forecasting:

Developing and managing cost estimates and project budgets, ensuring they align with project timelines and specifications.

Billing Management:

Preparing and submitting accurate invoices and billing reports to clients, and reconciling contractor and subcontractor bills.

Budget Control:

Monitoring ongoing project expenses, comparing them to the budget, and making necessary adjustments to maintain financial control.

Documentation:

Creating and maintaining documentation for billing, material purchases, and approvals from engineering and billing teams.

Site Visits:

Conducting site visits to verify project progress, confirm completed work quantities, and ensure the accuracy of estimates.

Coordination:

Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and client engineering teams to resolve billing discrepancies and obtain approvals.
