Study tender documents, drawings, specifications and prepare accurate BOQs.
Perform detailed quantity take-off for Electrical systems (LT/HT, Panels, DBs,Cabling, Conduits, Lighting, Earthing, ELV systems, etc.).
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including material, labour, subcontracting,overhead & margins.
Conduct rate analysis and identify value-engineering opportunities.
B. Team Leadership
Lead, guide and supervise a team of 3-4 Estimators.
Allocate tasks, review work and ensure accuracy of quantity take-offs and costing.
Train junior estimators on quantity take-off, rate analysis and tender documentation.
Ensure teamwork, discipline and adherence to deadlines.
C. Tendering & Documentation
Prepare technical & commercial proposals with supporting documents.
Draft compliance statements, deviation sheets, vendor lists and pricing formats.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
Coordinate with internal teams for inputs required for bid submission.
D. Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination
Float enquiries, evaluate offers and negotiate best techno-commercial rates.
Maintain updated vendor database and rate sheet.
Identify new vendors for competitive pricing.
E. Reporting & Management Coordination
Prepare costing summaries, risk assessment notes and approval sheets for management.
Maintain tender tracking registers and bid status reports.
Support management during bid finalization and client presentations.
