Estate Engineer

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Civil Engineering.

Experience:

4 to 6 years of experience in plant maintenance within the manufacturing or engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of plant facilities, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.

Plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

Manage estate facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Liaise with government officials, statutory bodies, and regulatory authorities on factory-related issues, licenses, approvals, and inspections.

Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for estate and plant-related maintenance requirements.

Implement best practices in facility management to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.

Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, statutory records, and compliance reports.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within the plant premises.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge in plant maintenance (mechanical, electrical, and civil).

Good understanding of statutory compliance and factory regulations.

Excellent communication and liaison skills for interacting with government officials and external agencies.

Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Based in or willing to relocate to Chennai.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Hands-on experience in managing vendor coordination and government liaisons.
