Role Overview
We are seeking an eSports Curriculum Developer to lead the design and enhancement of Whizara's K-12 eSports programs. This fully remote, project-based position involves working closely with instructors, administrators, and industry partners to develop innovative curricula, activities, and assessments that engage students and support their learning. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities
Design and develop K-12 eSports curricula, including lesson plans, activities, and assessments that integrate gaming, strategy, teamwork, and digital literacy.
Ensure all curricula align with educational standards, learning goals, and assessment criteria.
Support instructors in program implementation by providing guidance, resources, and professional development.
Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback, and refine curricula to improve student outcomes.
Create and manage instructional materials, technology tools, and resources for teachers.
Collaborate with external partners--industry professionals, research institutions, and community organizations--to offer experiential learning opportunities such as mentorships, workshops, and competitions.
Develop assessment strategies to track student progress and measure program success.
Stay informed on trends in eSports, gaming, STEM education, and instructional technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational leadership.
Knowledge of K-12 education, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with instructors, administrators, and external partners.
Experience in teacher training, professional development, or workshop facilitation.
Familiarity with educational technology tools used in gaming and STEM instruction.
Passion for eSports, gaming culture, and engaging students through innovative learning experiences.
