About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to lead the transformation of our marketing technology stack. This role is central to unifying our data silos, activating AI-driven personalization, and establishing a robust governance framework to drive scalable growth. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem, particularly Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE), Data Cloud, and Personalization (Interaction Studio), and a proven ability to architect solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:



Solution Architecture & Strategy:

+ Design and implement end-to-end marketing technology solutions leveraging the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite (MCAE, Data Cloud, Personalization) to create a unified, 360-degree customer view.
+ Develop and own the technical architecture for integrating marketing cloud with web analytics (GA4 360), CRM (Sales Cloud), and third-party platforms (e.g., Demandbase, OneTrust).
+ Architect the identity resolution strategy to connect anonymous web behavior with known CRM profiles using Salesforce Data Cloud.
+ Define the roadmap for migrating from fragmented, manual processes to an automated, AI-driven growth engine.

Data Unification & Governance:

+ Lead initiatives for database health, including deduplication, archival, and implementing a single source of truth through Salesforce Data Cloud.
+ Establish and enforce data governance, tagging strategies (SDR), and consent management protocols to ensure GDPR compliance and data quality.
+ Design and implement a unified web data layer and server-side tagging (sGTM) strategy to ensure consistent, reliable data capture across all digital properties.

AI & Personalization Enablement:

+ Architect and deploy real-time, cross-channel personalization strategies using Marketing Cloud Personalization (Interaction Studio).
+ Implement AI and machine learning capabilities using Einstein AI for predictive lead scoring, next-best-action, and segmentation.
+ Leverage firmographic and intent data from platforms like Demandbase to power Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns and personalization.

Integration & Technical Leadership:

+ Serve as the technical authority on all Marketing Cloud integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between MCAE, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, web analytics, and other martech tools.
+ Provide expert guidance and oversight to development teams, ensuring solutions are built to scale, perform, and adhere to best practices.
+ Conduct code reviews, design solution architecture diagrams, and validate technical feasibility.

Business Alignment & Roadmapping:

+ Collaborate with executive leadership to translate business goals (e.g., attribution, pipeline velocity, customer retention) into a technical marketing strategy.
+ Develop phased implementation roadmaps that deliver quick wins (e.g., Einstein Lead Scoring) while building towards long-term strategic goals (e.g., enterprise data with Microsoft Fabric).
+ Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing technology investments.

Required Qualifications & Experience:



8+ years of experience in marketing technology, with at least 5+ years specifically as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect or in a similar solution architecture role. Proven, hands-on experience with the core Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite: +

Salesforce Data Cloud

Deep understanding of

Einstein AI

capabilities within the Salesforce ecosystem for predictive marketing. Extensive experience designing and implementing

complex integrations

between Marketing Cloud, CRM, CDP, web analytics platforms (GA4), and third-party APIs (e.g., Demandbase). Strong knowledge of

data architecture principles

, including identity resolution, data modeling, governance, and compliance (GDPR). Experience with

web technologies

: data layers (CIM, SDR), server-side tag management (sGTM), and consent management platforms (e.g., OneTrust). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to design outcome-driven reporting frameworks (e.g., See-Think-Do-Care). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:



Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect Certification or similar advanced certifications. Experience with B2B marketing and ABM strategies. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or other enterprise data warehouse platforms. * Experience in a global organization with complex business unit structures.
