Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of complex SFMC solutions, including cross-cloud integrations (Sales, Service, Commerce Clouds), data flows, and application extensions.
Architect multi-channel customer journeys (Email, SMS, Push, Ads, Web) that are personalized, dynamic, and efficient.
Design and document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data models, and integration patterns.
Evaluate and recommend AppExchange components and third-party tools to extend platform functionality.
Define best practices for security, governance, and platform management within SFMC.
Technical Leadership & Implementation (30%)
Provide hands-on technical guidance and oversight to development teams (internal and external) during the implementation phase.
Review code (AMPScript, SSJS, APIs) and SQL queries to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to design principles.
Architect and oversee the development of custom applications using Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) and APIs.
Design and implement complex data extensions, data relationships, and automation activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
Collaborate closely with marketing stakeholders to translate business requirements (e.g., journey orchestration, segmentation, personalization) into technically feasible solutions.
Present and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including business leaders and marketers.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, managing expectations and proposing innovative solutions to business challenges.
Lead discovery workshops and technical requirement gathering sessions.
Strategy & Innovation (10%)
Stay current with the latest SFMC releases, features, and industry trends (CDP, Interaction Studio, etc.).
Drive the evolution of our marketing technology stack and advocate for platform best practices.
Assess the health and scalability of the current SFMC instance and propose roadmap improvements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Certifications:
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Architect

Experience:
7+ years of experience in marketing technology, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.
