The ERP/SAP Factory Executive serves as the primary
on-site expert
for the plant's ERP system. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all system transactions related to production, inventory, quality, and maintenance executed at the factory level. They are responsible for driving user proficiency and compliance with defined system processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily System Operations & Support
Transaction Execution:
Oversee and validate key daily transactions in the ERP system, including Goods Receipt against Purchase Orders (GRN), Goods Issue to Production, confirmation of Process/Production Orders, and final Goods Receipt of finished goods into the warehouse.
Inventory & Stock Reconciliation:
Act as the system owner for physical inventory counts. Ensure that physical stock (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) accurately matches system records, and resolve daily stock discrepancies by investigating root causes.
Master Data Validation:
Check and ensure the accuracy of local plant-specific master data, such as Bill of Materials (BOMs), Routings, and Work Center capacities, coordinating updates with central planning teams.
Troubleshooting:
Provide immediate, Level 1 support to all plant users for ERP-related issues, escalating complex or technical problems to the central IT/ERP team.
2. Compliance and Data Integrity
Process Adherence:
Ensure all production, warehouse, and quality personnel strictly follow defined
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for ERP transactions (e.g., proper use of batch management, correct consumption postings).
Batch Traceability:
Enforce and audit the system process for
end-to-end batch/lot traceability
, ensuring that all material movements are captured accurately to support quality audits and recalls.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze routine reports from the ERP system (e.g., production variances, consumption reports, yield reports) to provide insights to the Plant Head and Management.
3. Training and Improvement
User Training:
Conduct continuous on-the-job training and refresher courses for new and existing plant staff (Supervisors, Operators, Storekeepers) on proper ERP usage.
Process Improvement:
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or compliance gaps in the current system processes on the factory floor and propose solutions to the central ERP team.
UAT (User Acceptance Testing):
Participate in testing new system functionalities, upgrades, or fixes before deployment to the production environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience working directly with an
ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
in a manufacturing environment, ideally in Production, Stores, or Quality.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in
Process Industries
(e.g., Food, Chemicals). Deep knowledge of
Batch Management, Inventory Management, and Stock Reconciliation.
Expert-level proficiency in ERP transaction processing
related to Production Planning (PP), Inventory/Materials Management (MM), and Quality Management (QM).

Ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
