Job Title: Cloud Architect
Overview
The Cloud Architect will be responsible for providing technical solutions to support and forward the cloud strategy. They will be accountable for analyzing and designing solutions to enable enterprise workloads and guiding teams to a successful implementation and migration to the cloud. They will also be responsible for understanding the interdependencies of the enterprise landscape. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization is essential.
Qualifications
A.Bachelor's degree required: an additional four (4) years of experience in the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of on-premises or cloud technology may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience in the healthcare payer space preferred.
B.Five (5) years of experience with information technology systems, on-premises implementations, re-platforming, lifting and shifting on-premises workloads to the cloud, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge required. Two (2) years of experience with AWS, Azure and other cloud technology best practices is preferred.
C.Experience with methodology-based development (SDLC). SAFe, DevOps and agile experience preferred.
D.Ability to articulate designs to other technical staff through discussion, diagrams, and writing.
E.Demonstrated experience of system design principles and application architecture.
F.Experience with Cloud Automation, Code Pipelines, Big Data, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics and Security platforms required. Specifically, with AWS Lake Formation, Cloud Formation, Control Tower, Service Catalog, GuardRails, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Quick Sight, Athena, Aurora, Redshift, RDS, Dynamo DB and Elastic Search as well as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Entra ID PIM, PAM and App Registrations, Azure B2C, Azure Front Door, Microsoft Defender policies, Key Vault, APIM, Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Fabric and Purview DLP and Data Governance, and Azure AI and ML.
G.Ability to work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required. Lead by example and serve as a mentor for other team members.
H.Good organizational and communication skills; ability to complete tasks from various-sized projects and collaborate with teams of architects and developers.
I.Experience estimating projects for multiple IT functions.

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means, handle various types of media and equipment, and visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess. Key Accountabilities
A.Provide day-to-day technical support to cloud solution architects, application developers and other IT resources to solve problems, provide guidance and direction.
B.Provide technical guidance by developing/recommending alternatives to on premise systems and creative solutions that are both effective and efficient in cost and process.
C.Gain approval and organizational commitment for systems, infrastructure and software plans from appropriate IT and business unit leaders.
D.Make technology choices based on business requirements and information systems strategy, principles, and structure.
E.Evaluate workload and capacity of on-premises systems and provide insight for migration strategy to cloud equivalent platforms.
F.Be an active participant in the creation and adherence to standards and guidelines to ensure project quality.
G.Create reusability into systems for other IT resources to utilize in their development efforts.
H.Develop written specifications and documentation according to the engineering lifecycle that aid in development, use and support.
I.Ensure stability, integrity, availability, productivity, and efficient operation of assigned systems.
