About the role
Overview:
The ER & ICU Specialist (MBBS, EMO) plays a crucial role in providing specialized medical care in emergency rooms and intensive care units. They are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with critical medical conditions, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care. Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and stabilizing patients in the emergency room.
- Managing critical care patients in the ICU.
- Performing medical procedures such as intubation and central line placement.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Monitoring and managing life support equipment.
- Providing timely and accurate medical documentation.
- Participating in medical rounds and consultations.
- Ensuring compliance with medical protocols and standards.
- Participating in continuous medical education and training.
- Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals.
- Providing support and guidance to junior medical staff.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in emergency response and disaster management.
- Adhering to ethical and professional standards at all times.
- Medical degree (MBBS) from an accredited institution.
- Valid EMO certification and licensure.
- Specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Proven experience in ER and ICU settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care and emergency procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of medical protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
