Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Erection Engineer to oversee and manage precast structure erection at site. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, timely, and efficient installation of precast elements while maintaining quality and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop detailed erection plans, schedules, and method statements for
the installation of precast elements.
Site Preparation and Logistics
:
Assess and prepare the site for precast element delivery and
installation, coordinating with various teams (design, production,
site personnel).
Equipment and Resource Management
:
Ensure necessary equipment, tools, and materials are available on-site
and in good working condition.
Safety Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and
provide training to the erection crew on safe handling and
installation practices.
On-Site Supervision:
Supervise the erection crew, providing guidance, support, and ensuring
adherence to plans and safety procedures.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the erection process, ensuring that all work meets quality
standards and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of erection activities, including daily
progress reports, material usage, and any issues encountered.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support to the erection team, resolving on-site
challenges and ensuring efficient work execution.
Coordination
:
Collaborate with crane operators, riggers, and other personnel to
ensure the safe and efficient lifting and placement of precast
elements.
Inspections and Testing
:
Assist in the inspection and testing of installed components to ensure
alignment, integrity, and operational readiness.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
4-5 years of experience in precast construction erection at site.
Strong knowledge of precast erection methods, site safety, and
structural alignment.
Experience in coordinating with multiple teams on-site.
Good problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings.
