Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune, is the largest R&D center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside of Germany. Key Responsibilities:
Perform digital process planning for General Assembly (GA) lines.
Digitalize equipment standards in 3D based on module strategy.
Create and optimize 3D layouts for GA equipment and processes.
Develop equipment concept designs and layouts for assembly operations.
Prepare detailed equipment specifications aligned with manufacturing concepts.
Handle ordering of equipment after technical evaluation, design approval, and buy-off.
Conduct concept validation and evaluate technical offers from suppliers.
Manage budget planning and CAPEX for vehicle assembly shop projects.
Oversee installation and commissioning of equipment as per project timelines, ensuring conformance to approved layouts and manufacturing strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
3-7 years of experience in equipment planning, installation, and commissioning in greenfield and brownfield projects.
Strong expertise in digital manufacturing tools such as Vismockup, Teamcenter Visualization, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and DELMIA.
Knowledge of General Assembly processes, equipment standards, and layout planning.
Experience in vendor coordination, technical evaluations, and project execution.
Good communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Qualifikationen
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
Additional certifications (if any): [e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management, Digital Manufacturing tools].
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
Exposure to global automotive projects and manufacturing systems.
Understanding of Daimler processes, standards, and digital manufacturing methodologies.
Experience with international supplier interactions and cross-cultural collaboration.
