Job Title: ePublishing Executive/Specialist

Bangalore - Work From Office

Timings - 6 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

- Content Conversion: Convert manuscripts, PDFs, and other source files into ePub formats using tools like Adobe InDesign, Sigil, or other publishing software.

- Formatting & Styling: Ensure proper styling, layout, and formatting of digital content according to client or platform requirements, applying CSS and XML/HTML coding for custom styling and templates.

- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Debug errors or issues with ePub files and ensure compatibility with multiple devices and platforms.

- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks for formatting, layout, and functionality, validating ePub files against industry standards.

- Accessibility Standards: Implement accessibility features like alt text, tagging, and WCAG compliance for ePub files.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with content editors, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Digital Publishing, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in ePub production, digital publishing, or related fields.

- Skills:

- Proficiency in ePublishing tools like Adobe InDesign, Sigil, and Calibre.

- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, and ePub standards.

- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG, DAISY, etc.).

- Experience with version control and file validation tools (e.g., ePubCheck).

- Basic understanding of graphic editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with DRM-protected content.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

- Certification in ePublishing or a related field.
