Description:
CTG is seeking a skilled an Epic Security Administrator to join our team. The Epic Security Administrator will be responsible for managing user access, security templates, and role?based permissions across the Epic EHR. This role ensures that clinicians, staff, and operational teams have the appropriate access to perform their duties while maintaining strict compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and Epic best practices.
Key Responsibilities
User Provisioning & Access Management

  • Create, modify, and deactivate Epic user accounts based on established workflows and approval processes.
  • Assign security classes, templates, roles, and profiles that align with job responsibilities.
  • Maintain provider records, including credentials, specialties, and ordering privileges.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding requests in coordination with HR and department leadership.
Security Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure Epic security build adheres to organizational policies, regulatory standards (HIPAA, Joint Commission), and audit requirements.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Monitor for inappropriate access, segregation?of?duties conflicts, and unusual activity.
  • Maintain documentation of security policies, workflows, and change control processes.
System Configuration & Maintenance
  • Maintain and optimize security classes, user templates, and provider records.
  • Support upgrades, new module implementations, and security?related build changes.
  • Collaborate with application analysts to ensure security alignment with workflow changes.
  • Participate in testing for upgrades, new features, and security enhancements.
Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide tier?2 support for access issues, login problems, and permission errors.
  • Investigate and resolve security?related incidents in partnership with IT security and application teams.
  • Assist end?users with questions about access, workflows, and security requirements.
Cross?Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with HR, Credentialing, Compliance, and IT Security to maintain accurate and timely access provisioning.
  • Partner with Epic application teams to understand workflow needs and ensure appropriate access controls.
  • Participate in governance committees and contribute to security standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Experience administering Epic security or supporting Epic applications.
  • Strong understanding of role?based access control (RBAC) and healthcare security principles.
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows and translate them into appropriate access models.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Epic Security certification or accreditation.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
