Description:
CTG is seeking an Epic ClinDoc and Bugsy Analyst to join our team. The Epic ClinDoc & Bugsy Analyst will provids application support, build expertise, and workflow optimization for two key Epic modules: ClinDoc (clinical documentation) and Bugsy (infection control). This role supports inpatient clinical documentation workflows, nursing tools, and infection prevention processes by ensuring the Epic system is accurate, efficient, and aligned with clinical and regulatory needs. The analyst partners with nursing, infection prevention, HIM, and IT teams to deliver reliable support and continuous improvement across both applications.
Key Responsibilities
Epic ClinDoc Support

• Maintain and optimize inpatient clinical documentation tools, including flowsheets, SmartForms, SmartLinks, SmartTexts, and clinical decision support.
• Support nursing, therapy, and provider documentation workflows across inpatient units.
• Troubleshoot issues related to documentation, orders, charting tools, and workflow routing.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to improve documentation efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Participate in testing and validation for upgrades, new features, and workflow changes.

Epic Bugsy (Infection Control) Support

• Maintain and enhance Bugsy surveillance rules, alerts, dashboards, and infection prevention workflows.
• Support infection prevention teams with case investigation tools, reporting needs, and regulatory workflows.
• Ensure accurate configuration of organisms, lab triggers, isolation orders, and surveillance logic.
• Assist with public health reporting requirements and quality initiatives related to infection control.
• Troubleshoot issues related to surveillance, case management, and infection?related documentation.

Application Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide tier?2/3 support for ClinDoc and Bugsy end?users, resolving incidents and service requests.
• Analyze root causes and implement long?term solutions to reduce recurring issues.
• Collaborate with Epic TS, internal teams, and technical resources for escalated issues.
• Communicate effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Build, Configuration & Maintenance

• Perform system build, configuration, and maintenance following Epic and organizational standards.
• Support release management, including upgrade planning, regression testing, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate build documentation and participate in change control processes.
• Ensure build aligns with regulatory requirements, clinical best practices, and organizational policies.

Workflow Optimization & Operational Partnership

• Conduct workflow assessments and recommend improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
• Work closely with nursing leadership, infection prevention, HIM, and quality teams to align system build with operational goals.
• Support training teams with content development, tip sheets, and communication for new features or workflow changes.

Project Participation

• Contribute to new program rollouts, optimization initiatives, and cross?functional projects.
• Assist with requirements gathering, design sessions, testing, and go?live support.
• Collaborate with reporting teams to support data needs for clinical documentation and infection control.

Qualifications
Required

• Epic certification or accreditation in ClinDoc, Bugsy, or related modules (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe).
• Experience supporting Epic applications in a clinical or IT environment.
• Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across two application areas.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
