The EPC Engineer will lead and coordinate all aspects of solar power plant execution, from design and procurement to installation and commissioning. This includes managing vendors, ensuring quality standards, and delivering projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and layouts for solar PV systems.
Develop and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, grid standards, and safety norms.
Procurement
Identify and evaluate suppliers for solar modules, inverters, structures, and electrical components.
Coordinate procurement schedules to align with project timelines.
Optimize cost and quality through vendor negotiations and technical evaluations.
Construction & Execution
Supervise site activities including civil works, module mounting, cabling, and commissioning.
Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project milestones.
Resolve on-site technical issues and ensure safety compliance.
Project Management
Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams for approvals and updates.
Conduct quality checks and ensure documentation for handover.
Technical Coordination
Interface with DISCOMs and regulatory bodies for grid connectivity and approvals.
Support performance testing and troubleshooting during operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in Solar EPC projects (preferably >2 MW scale)
Skills:
Strong understanding of solar PV technology and electrical systems
Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
Ability to manage multiple sites and vendors simultaneously
