Job Summary:

The Junior Environmental Engineer will assist senior professionals in carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Environmental Monitoring, and Regulatory Compliance Projects as per NABET-QCI accreditation standards.

The role is ideal for motivated graduates interested in building a career in environmental consultancy, pollution control, and sustainability management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection

Assist in environmental baseline studies for air, water, noise, soil, and ecology. Maintain accurate records, logs, and data sheets of the surveys. Cross verification of the primary data

2. Technical Support for EIA & EMP Preparation

Support senior engineers and EIA coordinators in compiling Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plans. Collect and organize secondary data (climate, land use, hydrology, demography, etc.) from government and research sources. Prepare data tables, charts, and maps to be included in reports. Draft basic report sections under guidance (e.g., baseline environment, impact identification, mitigation measures).

3. Regulatory and Documentation Assistance

Assist in preparing forms and documents for Environmental Clearance (Form-1, Form-2, ToR, PH exemption) submissions. Support in drafting reports for Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), and compliance reports under TNPCB and MoEF&CC guidelines. Maintain and update project-related regulatory documentation as per NABET standards.

4. Project Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with clients, laboratories, and internal departments for smooth project execution. Assist senior team members in scheduling field activities and ensuring timely data submission. Participate in client or stakeholder meetings as required, taking notes and following up on tasks.

Qualifications:

B.E / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Civil Engineering (Environmental specialization)or M.Sc / M.Tech in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering. 1-4 years of experience in environmental consultancy, monitoring, or related areas. Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, or GIS will be an advantage.

Core Skills Required:

Strong analytical and report-writing ability. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel for field assignments. Interest in environmental regulations and sustainability practices. Team-oriented with a proactive learning attitude.
