Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and site investigations.
Design systems and processes for waste treatment, air and water pollution control, and site remediation.
Monitor environmental performance and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (e.g., EPA guidelines).
Prepare and submit technical reports, proposals, and permit applications.
Collaborate with scientists, planners, and regulatory agencies to develop sustainable solutions.
Evaluate environmental risks and develop risk management strategies.
Manage and oversee environmental projects from inception to completion.
Advise clients and stakeholders on environmental best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is a plus.
Proven experience in environmental engineering or a related role.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Proficiency in environmental modeling software and GIS tools is an asset.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Work Environment:
Work is typically conducted in both office settings and on-site field locations.
May require travel to project sites and interaction with government officials, contractors, and clients.
Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions when conducting fieldwork.
