Job Summary
The Assistant Manager - Environmental Clearance will be responsible for coordinating and driving all statutory approvals related to Environmental Clearances (EC) for residential and commercial projects. The role involves preparing documentation, liaising with consultants and government authorities, ensuring compliance with environmental norms, and supporting project timelines by securing approvals on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Environmental Clearance & Approvals
Manage end-to-end process for obtaining Environmental Clearances (EC) for all applicable projects.
Prepare, review, and submit documents including Form 1, Form 1A, EMP, Concept Plans, and Feasibility Reports.
Coordinate with environmental consultants for impact assessment studies, site inspections, and documentation.
Ensure timely submission of proposals to SEIAA, MOEF, TNPCB, and other relevant bodies.
Track and follow up on approval status; ensure hearings, presentations, and clarifications are handled promptly.
Liaison & Coordination
Liaise with government authorities such as SEIAA, TNPCB, CPCB, MOEF & CC, Town
Planning, and Municipal bodies.
Coordinate internal teams (Design, Projects, Legal, Liaison) for required inputs, data, drawings, and clarifications.
Ensure compliance with environmental norms, sustainability requirements, and revised regulatory guidelines.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain all records of submissions, approvals, conditions, and compliance reports (EC Conditions Monitoring).
Prepare half-yearly environmental compliance reports and ensure timely submission.
Review project site conditions and ensure adherence to EC stipulations during execution.
Maintain dashboards, trackers, and MIS for EC progress and compliance status.
Project Support
Provide environmental and regulatory inputs during project planning and design stages.
Support project feasibility by advising on environmental constraints, CRZ norms, groundwater guidelines, and pollution control requirements.
Participate in meetings with consultants, environmental experts, and statutory authorities.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Civil
Engineering.
3-6 years of experience in handling Environmental Clearances for real estate / infrastructure industry.
Strong knowledge of SEIAA/MoEF procedures, EIA Notification, EC compliance requirements, and TNPCB/CPCB norms.
Experience in documentation, regulatory submissions, and government liaison.
Good communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and manage timelines efficiently.
Additional Preferences
Experience in residential project approvals is an added advantage.
Familiarity with CRZ guidelines, water/air/environmental audits, and sustainability practices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
