Job Summary
We are seeking an Enterprise Technology Engineer to drive the design, development, and operational excellence of our critical IT systems. This role focuses on implementing agile practices, ensuring robust security, and delivering scalable solutions for BP Business Solutions India.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Implement and champion Agility core practices within technology teams, fostering continuous improvement and efficient delivery.
Manage and optimize configuration management and release processes, including continuous deployment and release pipelines.
Conduct in-depth analytics to identify system performance bottlenecks, propose solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Lead and participate in digital project management, ensuring successful delivery of technology initiatives from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain robust information security measures and protocols across all enterprise systems.
Utilize scripting for automation, system administration, and data manipulation to enhance operational efficiency.
Perform relational data modelling to design and optimize database structures for various applications.
Manage source control and code management systems, ensuring code quality, version control, and collaborative development.
Contribute to and implement strategies for service operations and resilience, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
Participate in system design discussions, contributing expertise to create innovative and sustainable technology solutions.
Proactively identify and mitigate technology-related risks through effective risk management strategies.
Coach and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Facilitate technical discussions, workshops, and planning sessions to drive consensus and progress.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Qualifications
Proven experience in an Enterprise Technology Engineer role or similar, with a strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes.
Demonstrated expertise in Agility core practices and their practical application in software development lifecycles.
Proficiency in analytics tools and methodologies for system performance monitoring and optimization.
Strong understanding of configuration management and continuous deployment/release principles.
Experience with Digital Project Management methodologies and tools.
In-depth knowledge of Information Security best practices and risk management frameworks.
Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and system administration.
Solid experience in relational data modelling and database design.
Proficiency with source control and code management systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
Understanding of service operations and resilience concepts, including incident management and problem resolution.
Experience in system design and architecture, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
