Description:
Milestone is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Sitecore Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Sitecore-based digital platforms across our global biopharmaceutical organization. This role will be instrumental in driving scalable, secure, and compliant web experiences that support patient engagement, healthcare provider education, and internal content workflows across multiple brands and geographies.
Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Architecture Leadership:
  • Define and maintain the enterprise-level architecture strategy for Sitecore, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of Sitecore and web related solutions, ensuring that best practices are followed, managed and that technical governance is met.
  • Solution Design & Integration:
  • Design scalable, component-based Sitecore solutions, integrating with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), analytics platforms, content delivery networks, DAM systems, and identity/authentication providers (e.g., Okta).
  • Platform Governance & Standardization:
  • Establish development standards, reusable templates, content models, and workflow strategies to support consistent delivery across global brand sites.
  • Participate in Governance calls as well as SAFE Agile ceremonies
  • Lead the development of technical documentation and training materials to ensure that Sitecore solutions are well-documented and easily maintained.
  • Provide technical support for Sitecore solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to guide technical delivery across Sitecore XP/XM/Headless environments and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js).
  • Mentor Web team members as they start their journey in Sitecore.
  • Lean in to manage issue resolution on the platform. Assist with RCA on the issues.
  • Cloud & DevOps:
  • Architect Sitecore solutions hosted on Azure or AWS with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated deployments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery compliance.
  • Collaboration & Roadmapping:
  • Work closely with IT, marketing, compliance, and regional business teams to plan platform enhancements, site rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify opportunities for improving the web platform.
  • Vendor & Partner Management:
  • Coordinate with implementation partners, offshore teams, and third-party SaaS providers for integrated solution delivery and quality assurance.
  • Advise the development of custom Sitecore modules and integrations with third-party systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in web platform architecture, with at least 5 years hands-on experience in Sitecore (version 9 or higher, ideally 10.x).
  • Strong experience with Sitecore SXA, JSS, Headless CMS architecture, and personalization strategies.
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
  • Experience with cloud hosting platforms (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices for pharmaceutical digital content (e.g., Veeva Vault integration, eConsent workflows, audit trails).
  • Sitecore Certification (Architect or Developer) preferred.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working in a GxP-compliant, regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar analytics tools.
  • Background in omnichannel marketing, customer data platforms (CDPs), or master data integration for patient/HCP journeys.
