Summary: As an Enterprise Architect, you will define and implement enterprise architecture strategies and operating models. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to articulate a compelling vision for enterprise architecture, developing a target state, and creating a transformation roadmap that aligns with organizational goals. You will engage in discussions that shape the future of the enterprise, ensuring that architectural decisions support business objectives and drive innovation across the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: o Lead multiple large-scale AWS transformation initiatives--defining cloud adoption strategies, modernization roadmaps, and enterprise-scale architecture blueprints. o Architect end-to-end AWS solutions, leveraging native services for compute, storage, networking, and security, with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, and resilience. o Partner with pursuit and sales teams to develop innovative, cost-effective AWS solutions for new opportunities, RFPs, and proactive proposals. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive solution convergence, technical validation, and client alignment across all phases of the sales cycle. o Participate actively in client orals and executive discussions, effectively articulating the AWS value proposition and differentiators. o Lead the design and prototyping of proof-of-concept (PoC) architectures and accelerators to demonstrate solution feasibility and innovation. o Define migration strategies aligned with the 6Rs framework (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain) and help clients modernize applications using cloud-native services. o Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to evaluate and optimize workloads for security, performance, reliability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency. o Develop reusable solution assets, accelerators, and reference architectures for consistent delivery across engagements. o Provide thought leadership in AWS architecture best practices, emerging trends (AI/ML, serverless, edge computing, GenAI, etc.), and industry-specific modernization patterns. o Mentor and guide architecture teams, fostering capability development, technical excellence, and innovation within the AWS practice. Professional & Technical Skills: o Total Experience: 15-25 years in IT, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS architecture and cloud transformations. o Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (mandatory). Specialty certifications (Security, Advanced Networking, Machine Learning, DevOps, or Data Analytics) are highly desirable. o Cloud-Native Expertise: Proficient in designing architectures leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, EKS/ECS, CloudFront, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch. o Automation & IaC: Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Packer. o Programming & Scripting: Strong working knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Python) for automation, orchestration, and API integration. o Migration & Modernization: Proven track record in large-scale application migration and modernization, including re-platforming, containerization, and refactoring for AWS. o Performance & Cost Optimization: Deep understanding of AWS cost management, optimization frameworks, and performance tuning of cloud workloads. o Security & Compliance: Working knowledge of IAM, KMS, VPC security, encryption, and compliance frameworks (CIS, ISO, NIST). o AI/ML Exposure: Familiarity with AWS AI/ML stack (SageMaker, Rekognition, Bedrock, etc.) and integration of ML capabilities within cloud-native architectures. o Delivery & Estimation: Skilled in effort estimation techniques for cloud-native and modernization projects, including deal shaping, pricing strategy, and commercial construct design. o Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery methods. o Client Engagement: Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including pre-sales, consulting, delivery leadership, and solution governance. Additional Information: o Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences. o Strategic mindset with the ability to bridge business objectives and technical solutions. o Proven ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and deliver results in high-impact client engagements. o Passion for continuous learning and innovation in emerging cloud technologies and architectures.
