These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the company relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Enterprise Network Services team are responsible for innovative network and firewall design solutions, supporting operations and delivering these services to the FIL business units. The ENS team have global responsibilities, delivering a regional support service through a virtual model, with staff located in our UK, European, India and Asia offices. Purpose of the Role A Technical Specialist within Enterprise Network Services (ENS) will be expected to have a fundamental network understanding, including excellent knowledge of network, from best of breed vendors. This highly technical and service focussed position will involve Operational support of the Fidelity global Network including change and service improvement opportunities. The ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse geographical based team is essential. ENS provide services to all areas of the Fidelity business, operating a regional delivery function that identifies and drives tasks and initiatives to completion. The ability to work well with project managers and senior stakeholders is fundamental; also the need to be able to work under pressure within a busy and reactive environment is essential. Key Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct yourself as a seasoned technical professional. \xe2\x80\xa2 ENS stakeholder, delivering regional \xe2\x80\x98One team\xe2\x80\x99 approach. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for operation excellence and taking appropriate ownership \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in and adhere to ENS engineering. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for resolving High Severity Incidents, providing technical support as required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and manage ENS infrastructure and services, achieving OLAs and KPIs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide Operational experience, helping further develop and elevate the ENS team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to strategic direction of technologies (roadmaps) from a technical and theoretical perspective. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure delivered solutions transition into \xe2\x80\x98supportable services\xe2\x80\x99 via the ready for service framework. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mentor and cross train ENS staff as required. Your skills and experience: \xe2\x80\xa2 Degree holder in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 7 years financial services experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Be considered as a network expert, with deep subject matter expertise in a number of technologies and a broad understanding across network and non-network technology. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong hands on experience of managing Network products including but not limited: o Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP o Cisco routing and switching (including Data Center platforms) o Knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Wireshark, etc) o Knowledge of DNS & DHCP (IPAM) \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent understanding of network architecture, design and support. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent business scenes for a technical support environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven Service Management (ITIL) experience, specifically incident, problem and change management \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical skill and able to solve complicated problem logically \xe2\x80\xa2 Good command of spoken and written English \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, project management skills and vendor management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be flexible in approach to work content and responsibilities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work under pressure within a busy environment and effectively multi-tasking \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be a self-starter and able to work with a minimum of supervision. Desirable skills: \xe2\x80\xa2 Professional qualifications (against relevant technologies) \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of supporting Cisco ACI \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of supporting Meraki switching and wireless technologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of Cisco ISE management \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of HP/SilverPeak SD-WAN technologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge og QIP DNS & DHCP (IPAM) \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience of UNIX / Linux and scripting (Python/Ansible/Perl/Shell), Terraform and automation \xe2\x80\xa2 Concepts on data centre design \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work with Audit (Internal & external) functions and certification organisations. Personal Characteristics: \xe2\x80\xa2 Enthusiastic about technology, innovative in approach \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to thrive in a technology driven, rapidly changing and expanding environment \xe2\x80\xa2 A desire to do things the right way, whilst remaining focused on team and business objectives Requirements of Role: \xe2\x80\xa2 This role expects a level of out of hours and weekend working \xe2\x80\xa2 This role expects working UK-based hours on a regular basis \xe2\x80\xa2 This role expects on-call participation (allowance provided) \xe2\x80\xa2 This role does require occasional working from other Fidelity offices. ENS also have significant operations in UK, APAC and Central Europe so a willingness to travel is advantageous.
