What youll be doing...
Verizon is looking for a Systems Engineer with a good development background for its Application Security Engineering team. The person in this role should have a penchant for troubleshooting related technology issues for diverse platforms / languages. The person in this position would be responsible for owning feature enhancements and bug fixing along with integrating applications to security platforms and should have exposure to major technology stacks.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with US infra and development teams on enhancement and fixes of security reporting and tracking application and at time help to integrate project applications into the Security Tooling Platforms.
Gain deep application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design.

What were looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelors degree or one or more years of work experience.
Experience with Microservice technologies and Java8, Spring, Spring Boot, Restful Web Services, SQL/NoSQL DB, e.g. Postgres, Logstash, Log4j/Log4net & Apache Kafka.
Experience in Agile software development practices.
Experience in React, Node, and/or AngularJS.
Experience with automated build, test, and deploy services, e.g.,Jenkins, Gitlab, JIRA.
Experience with scanning tools, automated build, test, and deploy services, e.g.,Jenkins, GIT, JIRA, Fortiffy.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A Masters degree.
Experience with OAUTH, SAML, and LDAP authentication.
Experience with XML/JSON and developing SOAP and REST services.
Knowledge of Splunk, SPL and anomaly detection and visualization development.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle phases, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Knowledge on DevSecOps (Development, Security, and Operations).
Knowledge of CI/CD.
Education: Any Graduate
