What you'll be doing...
The Platform and Transformation team handles projects related to sales and service experience with the order management in Verizon Consumer Group. You'll be responsible for developing highly efficient and reliable applications and support mission and business-critical programs within Verizon, with customer first focus by ensuring 100% application availability and reliability

• Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
• Acting independently, at the same time displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.
• Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use and Better use of AI tools and its features like Copilot for quality deliverables.
• Be a subject matter expert by identifying technology trends and collaborate with other team members to make recommendations based on the company's needs
• Help evolve the software development methodology based on agile and lean thinking, including impacting the development of coding conventions, documentation standards, testing procedures and quality assurance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
• Ensure technical issues are quickly resolved and implement strategies and solutions to help reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
• Interface with Architects to understand the design skeleton.

What we're looking for...
You are curious about new technologies and the possibilities they create. You enjoy the challenge of supporting applications while exploring ways to improve upon the technology. You are driven and motivated, with strong communication and analytical skills. You will be working with multiple stakeholders within wireless teams in understanding and delivering the requirements and design.
You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree with one or more years of work experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience.
• Two or more years of experience in Spring Boot, Spring Reactive Programming.
• Experience in designing and building mid to large enterprise scale software solutions.
• Experience in using AI pair programming tools like Github Copilot.
• Prompt Engineering - Proven experience in crafting and refining prompts for developmental & migration activities, Knowledge of various prompting techniques and when to apply them, ability to think creatively and logically to guide AI models to a specific outcome.
• Experience in DevOps Tools - GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Test Driven development - JUnit, SonarCube.
• Ability to build a positive, collaborative working environment that instills respect, trust, quality, and success as its core goals
• Experience in addressing Security vulnerabilities of Sonar, Fortify, Blackduck.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in Agentic AI.
• Experience with Public Cloud/AWS.
• Experience in progressive transformation, technology enablement, innovation, or consumer retail exposure.
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills, and be able to explain complex concepts both concisely and simply.
• Exceptionally self-motivated, solid interpersonal skills and a good communicator.
• Extremely detailed oriented, committed to excellence and takes unrelenting pride in the code you write
• Excellent problem-solving skills, willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges.
