The English Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that help students develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. The role includes planning curriculum, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment that supports academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Classroom Management
Plan and deliver effective English lessons (Grammar, Literature, Writing, Communication Skills).
Use creative teaching methods to enhance student interest and participation.
Curriculum & Assessment
Prepare lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and academic standards.
Review student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain student records, reports, and grade books accurately.
Student Development
Encourage reading habits, vocabulary building, and spoken English skills.
Support students in projects, competitions, debates, and other literary activities.
Provide individual attention to students needing additional academic support.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Contribute to school programs, annual functions, assemblies, and clubs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in English / Literature / Education (B.A./M.A. with B.Ed preferred).
Strong command of English grammar, writing, and communication skills.
Classroom management and student engagement skills.
Ability to use digital teaching tools.
Passion for teaching and child development.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience teaching English in a school setting (1-3 years preferred).
Experience in CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum (as applicable).
