We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for grades 8-10, responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the State Board curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster a love for literature, language skills, and effective communication among students, while preparing them for board examinations and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons covering grammar, literature, writing skills, comprehension, and communication in line with the State Board syllabus.
Use creative and interactive teaching methods to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the English language.
Teach students how to analyze texts, express ideas clearly, and develop critical thinking skills through discussions and assignments.
Guide students in writing essays, letters, reports, and other formats required by the State Board.
Prepare students for board exams through revision, practice tests, and exam strategies.
Evaluate students' performance through classwork, projects, assignments, and tests, providing timely feedback and support.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Organize activities like debates, speeches, and creative writing workshops to develop communication skills.
Maintain accurate records of students' progress and collaborate with parents and staff as needed.
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, English Literature, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in classes 8-10 under the State Board curriculum.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Familiarity with the State Board syllabus, examination patterns, and assessment criteria.
Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire students.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in coaching students for English Olympiads, essay competitions, and literary events.
Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and educational technology.
Ability to foster a love for reading and writing in students.
