Job Summary

The English Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging English lessons to students from Std. 1 to 8. The role requires fostering a love for reading, writing, and communication while ensuring students develop strong grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Lesson Planning

Plan and deliver lessons as per the school curriculum for different grade levels (1 to 8). Prepare creative and interactive teaching aids to make learning engaging. Integrate reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in lessons. Conduct grammar, vocabulary, and literature activities suited to different age groups.

Student Assessment & Progress Tracking

Conduct regular tests, assignments, and projects to assess student progress. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment. Encourage student participation and ensure equal opportunities for all learners.

Extra-Curricular & Enrichment Activities

Organize debates, elocution, drama, storytelling, and literary competitions. Promote reading habits through library sessions and book clubs.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with other subject teachers for cross-curricular learning. Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs and through regular updates.

Professional Development

Stay updated with modern teaching techniques and tools. Attend training workshops and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in English / Literature / Education (B.Ed. preferred). Proven experience in teaching English for primary & middle school levels. Excellent command over spoken and written English. Strong classroom management skills. Creativity in lesson planning and activity design. Ability to use technology in teaching (smart boards, presentations, online resources).

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
