Key responsibilities
Design, implement and conduct teacher education programme in teaching English to in-service teachers of both primary and upper primary schools
Identify and develop a resource pool of teacher trainers to conduct teacher training programme on teaching English in multilingual classrooms for in-service teachers
Collaborate with the resource pool to conduct teacher training sessions, provide feedback and assess teachers' progress on completing training.
Identify motivated teachers and collaborate with them to develop learner centric curricula, lesson plans, pedagogical tools, assessment and classroom management techniques.
Designing and developing effective teaching strategies and curricula materials with our internal team to help them support teachers in the process of classroom transaction
Provide on-site support to motivated teachers by demonstrating effective teaching strategies and pedagogic tools with them.
Build our team capacity by keeping abreast of latest developments in education and conducting training sessions within the team on it
Qualifications and Requirements
MA in Education/ English/ Social Sciences/ Psychology or any other subject discipline
5 years extensive teaching experience in english as a subject & 2 years as a teacher trainer
Proficiency in English and Assamese speaking, reading and writing is a must
Has an understanding of how children learn and believer cum practitioner of child friendly pedagogy
Possess a good understanding of the current educational scenario,
Excellent Communication and Inter-personal skills
Self-motivated, possesses ability to work unsupervised using own initiative.

About us
North East Educational Trust (NEET) a registered NGO was set up in 2009 to work in the field of education. We work with the mission of creating educational cultures that nourishes critically aware and creative thinkers. To achieve our objective, we work with teachers and children by using innovative methods of learning and teaching through our language learning programme and library programme. We run NEET's Community Library, an free and informal space for children to explore their creativity by participating in regularly organised activities like dance, drama, art, singing, art and craft and strengthen their academics by conducting regular classes in language, maths and science. We also operate a free pre-primary school for underprivileged children do not have had access to a quality early childhood and care programme. Additionally, we carry out research on education, document the best practices across the Indian education space and conduct professional development programmes for teachers.
