English Language Teacher - Qualification as per CBSE Norms

1. Primary Level (Classes I-V)

Essential Qualifications

Senior Secondary (10+2)

with minimum

70% marks

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)

Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)Desirable

Graduation with English as a subject CTET (Paper I) - preferred

2. Middle Level (Classes VI-VIII)

Essential Qualifications

Graduate Degree (BA)

with

English as a major / core subject

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

Desirable

CTET (Paper II) Teaching experience at upper-primary level

3. Secondary Level (Classes IX-X)

Essential Qualifications

Post-Graduate Degree (MA)

English

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

? English must be the subject of specialization at PG level.

4. Senior Secondary Level (Classes XI-XII)

Essential Qualifications

Master's Degree (MA) in English
