Job Description

Developing engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans, teaching English language and literature, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and parents, and contributing to extracurricular activities. The teacher must also have strong command of the English language, knowledge of CBSE standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to cater to diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Lesson Planning

:Develop and implement effective, engaging lesson plans in line with CBSE curriculum standards for 10th grade.

Teaching & Instruction

:Deliver comprehensive lessons covering English language, literature, grammar, composition, and reading comprehension.

Assessment & Evaluation

:Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and exams, providing constructive feedback and grading performance.

Classroom Management

:Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and high standards of behavior.

Student Support

:Provide individualized support and attention to students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

Collaboration

:Work with other teachers, heads of departments, and school administration to develop teaching resources and strategies.

Parent Interaction

:Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance, progress, and behavior.

Professional Development

:Participate in workshops, seminars, and meetings to enhance teaching methods and knowledge of the subject.

Extracurricular Activities

:Organize or assist in extracurricular activities, such as debates, elocution, and creative writing, to promote language skills.
Qualifications & Skills

Education

:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field.

Experience

:Prior work experience as an English teacher, preferably in a middle or high school environment.

Technical Skills

:Profound knowledge of grammar, sentence structure, and different literary genres.

Interpersonal Skills

:Excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as strong interpersonal and language skills.

Cultural Sensitivity

:A high sense of cultural awareness and sensitivity.
