English Language Learner Teacher



JOB TITLE: English Language Learner Teacher

REPORTING TO: Academic Principal

COLLABORATES WITH: Teachers and Residential Life staff

PURPOSE: Miri Piri Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced English Language Learner Teacher to join our team in Amritsar, India. As an ELL Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing English language curriculum and teaching strategies for non-native speakers of English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and techniques to meet the needs of individual students.

Assess students\' language proficiency and progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective ELL programs.

Provide support and guidance to students and families as needed.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.

Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor\'s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.

Teaching certification or credential in English as a Second Language (ESL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English to non-native speakers.

Knowledge of effective ELL teaching strategies and techniques.

Ability to develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
