The English Language and Soft Skills Trainer is responsible for providing high-quality English language instruction and developing students' essential soft skills for professional and academic success. This role involves developing a dynamic curriculum that focuses on enhancing communication skills, building confidence in public speaking, and preparing students for group discussions and personal interviews. The ideal candidate is a skilled educator with a strong command of the English language and a passion for helping learners achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum and Content Development:
Design and develop comprehensive curriculum and instructional materials that integrate English language training with key soft skills.
Create engaging lesson plans for a range of topics, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, group discussions (GD), and personal interview (PI) techniques.
Training and Instruction:
Deliver interactive and engaging training sessions to individuals and groups, focusing on both language proficiency and soft skills application.
Conduct specialized training modules on:
Public Speaking: Develop students' ability to deliver clear, confident, and persuasive presentations.
Group Discussions: Train students in communication etiquette, active listening, and how to articulate and defend their views effectively in a group setting.
Personal Interviews: Prepare students for job interviews by conducting mock sessions and providing feedback on their verbal communication, body language, and professional demeanour.
Assessment and Feedback:
Administer regular assessments, including tests, assignments, and mock sessions, to measure student progress in both language and soft skills.
Provide personalized, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
Student Engagement and Support:
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and builds student confidence.
Offer guidance and coaching to help students achieve their professional and academic goals.
Professional Development and Collaboration:
Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and industry trends in both language training and soft skills development.
Collaborate with other trainers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Master's degree in English with BEd or similar Teaching/ Instructional qualification
Certification (Preferred): Teaching certification or qualification in TESOL/TOEFL, IELTS or similar
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience as an English Language Trainer, with specific experience in training group discussions, personal interviews, and public speaking. Aviation field related experience is a plus.
Language Proficiency: Near-native proficiency in English, with an impeccable command of grammar, syntax, and phonetics.
Pedagogical Expertise: Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories and instructional design principles.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, adaptability, and empathy to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate the needs and learning styles of different students. Flexibility in adjusting to changing schedules and curriculum requirements."
