Position: Facilitator - English Exposure Class 3 to Class 10 Profile Description: We are looking for an experienced teacher for English Language for primary and secondary level. High level of proficiency in English Language, preferably with teaching experience in India. Experience with usage of content with first generation learners will be preferred. Position is for Facilitator to build English Skills through Exposure in English for Classes 3 to 10. Children are largely first generation learners with no exposure to the English Speaking world. Building exposure in English is imperative to ensure that academically and in careers in future children can do well. Learning to be fun! \xc2\xb7 Consistently record and track the observation and progress of each child across various defined parameters of holistic development. \xc2\xb7 Working with peer groups on regular basis to identify the critical needs of every child and applying innovative, positive methodologies to help each child overcome different challenges. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a respectful, progressive, and in-depth relationship with the family of the child. \xc2\xb7 Focus on self-learning and development to address the needs of each child in the classroom. Taking English Exposure Classes for Classes 3 to 10 Focus on Listening, Speaking and Reading Skills in English. The child is not comfortable with the English language, exposure needs to be built to enable the child to apply learning in daily life. This will enable the child to be able to learn the Language and retain interest to further academic and career development in the future. The child\xe2\x80\x99s learning is dependent on the facilitator being able to reach out to EACH CHILD, relating the engagement in the class to the Child\xe2\x80\x99s life and observing the learnings demonstrated by the child at each STEP of the learning process. Lesson plans implementation would need to ensure that it is customised keeping the interest of the child. \xc2\xb7 Focus on building exposure for Listening, Speaking and Reading Skills in English. \xc2\xb7 Apply different tools as per a customised lesson plan, depending on the needs of the class/ child - Audio/ Visual, Group Discussion/ Activities/ Role Plays, Reading, Narrating. \xc2\xb7 Learning process encourages the Child to be a Self-learner. \xc2\xb7 Learning to focus on the child implanting learnings in Daily life. Preparing Lesson Plans Focus on Listening, Speaking and Reading Skills in English. \xc2\xb7 Preparation of lesson plans for each class keeping in mind the child. Every child engages differently, and it is important that the learning be focused on the child applying the learning in regular life. \xc2\xb7 Research/ Curate content through which the child can be exposed to English. Develop strong skills in Listening, Speaking and Reading in English through various tools applied in classrooms. \xe2\x80\x93 Audio/ Visual, Group Discussion/ Activities/ Role Plays, Reading, Narrating. \xc2\xb7 Preparation of lesson plans customised to each specific classroom and child requirements. \xc2\xb7 Organising materials for implementation of the lesson plans \xe2\x80\x93 Audio Visual Material/ Books/ other material. \xc2\xb7 Ensure flexibility in lesson plans to address challenges and be able to respond to immediate situations in the classrooms. Tracking Progress for EACH CHILD \xc2\xb7 Understand progress of each child. \xc2\xb7 Build the next steps, depending on where the child is in the learning process. We have a child-wise tracking process, what and how the child has learnt defines the next steps in the engagement in the classroom. Each child would need to be tracked to understand how the content needs to be adjusted to ensure that every child learns. \xc2\xb7 Meeting with Class teachers at regular intervals to build understanding of each child. \xc2\xb7 Direct Interaction with Children in classrooms. \xc2\xb7 Documentation of progress of each child and define next steps. \xc2\xb7 Participating in Child-wise review process related meetings and identifying & tracking actions for both children and families. \xc2\xb7 Curating/ Researching/ Changing content to focus on specific needs of children. Summary of Requirements & Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Graduate and above in English. \xc2\xb7 Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in English Language in primary and secondary levels. \xc2\xb7 Has experience/ interest/ability to teach English through various methods/ tools \xe2\x80\x93 Audio/ Visual, Group Discussion/ Activities/ Role Plays, Reading, Narrating. \xc2\xb7 Preferably with experience in the development sector or educational activities with children of low-income families. \xc2\xb7 High proficiency in computer usage for research and content creation. \xc2\xb7 Should be Delhi-NCR based preferably Noida. \xc2\xb7 Ability to engage with children of different age groups and believes in connecting deeply with Children directly in Class. \xc2\xb7 The person should be able to focus on detailing for each child. With strong ability and willingness for planning & documentation in detail for each child. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in groups and with diverse set of teachers and co-workers. \xc2\xb7 Attitude towards learning, who has good organisation capabilities and is methodical in her / his approach, is able to work independently in a planned manner.
