Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated

English and Social Studies (SST) Teacher

to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills in students, and promoting a love for learning in both English language and social sciences.

Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in

English

and

Social Studies

aligned with the school curriculum and educational standards. Develop lesson plans that promote literacy, comprehension, writing, grammar, and communication skills. Teach social, political, and historical concepts through creative and interactive methods. Use various teaching methodologies, digital tools, and classroom resources to enhance learning outcomes. Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students. Support differentiated learning to address diverse student needs and learning styles.

Curriculum & Assessment

Design and implement lesson plans that align with school and board guidelines (CBSE, ICSE). Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance. Participate in curriculum planning and contribute to academic enrichment programs.

Classroom Management

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Maintain discipline and encourage respect and collaboration among students.

Professional Development & Collaboration

Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and events. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops. Stay updated with best teaching practices and educational trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English / History / Political Science / Education (B.A. + B.Ed. preferred). Master's degree in relevant subjects is an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience in English and/or Social Studies. Experience with school board curricula (CBSE / ICSE ) preferred.

Skills:

Strong command of English (spoken and written). Effective classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage students through creative teaching methods. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools. Empathy, patience, and a student-centered approach.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
