Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) - Center for Digital Engineering (CDE) has an open position. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform digital manufacturing process simulations and data driven AI/ML model development and deployment for global Eaton products. Incumbent is also required to partner with Engineering, CI, OPEX and Industry 4.0 teams globally to understand the process, people, plant information to develop & validate digital models.
The primary functions for this position include:
To perform Casting process & Metal Additive Manufacturing simulations
Working knowledge on simulation tools such as Magma/Nova Cast for Casting & Simufact/Abaqus for Additive manufacturing is preferred
Comprehensive understanding of FEA algorithms to interpret simulation outcomes and support informed decision-making
Good understanding on Conventional & Advanced Manufacturing processes (Forging, Sheet metal forming,extursion & Tool Design- Added Advantage)
Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain functions to define problem statements
Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders
Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Manufacturing Process Simulations
Should able to understand the existing methods and deploy/improve to mature Analysis with test/shop floor validations

Thorough knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, FEA & DfMA principles.
Strong fundamentals on technical know-how to perform hand calculations& help in validating simulation predictions
Basics of Manufacturing Automation & any associated modeling software experience is preferred (NovaCast, Simufact,Abaqus etc..)
Knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing trends and demonstrated projects with deployments of relevant initiatives is preferred
Proficiency in programming languages - Python, R, Knowledge of C# is added advantage
Familiarity with predictive maintenance models and digital twin development.
Basic understanding of lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
