The Product Integrity (PI) organization within Apple's Hardware Engineering is a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for ensuring our products deliver exceptional customer experiences from the moment of purchase and continue to perform reliably over time. We adhere to and surpass international standards and regulations. We collaborate with teams across Apple to ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and services.



We are seeking a technically accomplished project manager to join the Product Integrity Engineering Services (ES) team in Bangalore to support our growth in India. The project manager will be a key member of a global team responsible for managing org-wide contingent workforce and managed services engagements including planning, operations, quality, compliance and finances.



Leveraging their technical expertise, they will critically evaluate resource and project requirements, develop vendor strategies, mitigate risks and identify the most qualified vendors and contractors globally. They will utilize deep technical program and vendor management experience to assess vendor capabilities, validate proposals and costs to meet Apple's requirements. They will build strategic relationships, drive high standards for service quality and define best-in-class tools and processes.

Description

This role requires collaborating cross-functionally with a large multi-disciplinary engineering organization across different time-zones as well as other internal teams such as Procurement, Finance, Legal, EPM, IS&T, New Product Security, Network Security and Supplier Responsibility.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Assist engineering managers with requirements and vendor engagement


Review statements of work and quotations


Drive vendor competency assessment, calibration, selection and onboarding


Partner with procurement on contracts and negotiations


Coordinate engineering services operations, documentation and tracking


Oversee critical sourcing and performance metrics, overall quality of service and relationships


Track and report financial forecasts and actual payments


Champion best practices and ensure security and compliance requirements


Implement process improvements and tool enhancements

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of technical program management with software / hardware engineering projects

Experience building and scaling teams that have successfully shipped consumer electronics products

Experience with outsourcing, offshore development centers (ODCs) and program transitions to India

Experience with budgeting and spend analysis

Ability to influence, negotiate and contribute to key strategic decisions

Exceptional flexibility in managing shifting priorities

Knowledge of Excel, survey tools and creating documentation

Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA degree with minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience

5+ years of experience with large scale vendor management in an engineering organization

Experience writing or reviewing statements of work (SOW) for engineering projects

Proven record of evaluating vendor capabilities and driving improvement through actionable feedback

Proficiency in English (written and verbal) with exceptional presentation skills","internalDetails":null,"eeoContent":null
