What will you contribute?
Design and develop robust, scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Optimize performance across cache, database, and middleware layers using Hazelcast, Oracle 19c, and WebSphere/JBoss.
Drive technical excellence through clean code, modular design, and proactive system tuning.
Collaborate across teams to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Application Development
Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and containerized deployment strategies.
Integrate with Oracle DB using efficient SQL/PLSQL and manage transaction boundaries across XA resources.
Implement caching strategies using Hazelcast for high-throughput, low-latency data access.
System Reliability & Performance
Diagnose and resolve JVM-level issues (memory leaks, thread contention, GC tuning).
Tune WebSphere and JBoss configurations for optimal thread pool, connection pool, and transaction performance.
Align timeouts and rollback-safe logic across DB, cache, and messaging layers to prevent XA contention.
DevOps & Lifecycle Management
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
Prepare rollback-safe deployment plans, validation checklists, and change control documentation.
Participate in production incident triage, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with product owners, QA, and business analysts to deliver aligned technical solutions.
Lead code reviews and technical discussions, promoting best practices and design patterns.
Communicate technical trade-offs and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience:
5+ years of hands-on development experience in Java and Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Security).
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and inter-service communication.
Experience with Hazelcast or similar caching frameworks in distributed environments.
Proficiency in Oracle 19c: SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and transaction management.
Deployment and tuning experience on WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and JBoss.
Solid grasp of XA transactions, rollback-safe design, and timeout alignment across DB/cache/middleware.
Familiarity with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, and containerization (Docker/Podman).
Strong debugging skills across JVM, middleware, and database layers.
