We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager with a strong technical foundation and over 15 years of progressive experience in engineering and management roles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, delivering complex projects, and driving continuous improvement across engineering operations. This role requires both deep technical expertise and excellent leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and project staff across multiple functions or projects.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
Drive innovation and process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and performance.
Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting for engineering projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance productivity and product quality.
Conduct performance reviews, training, and career development for engineering staff.
Report on project status, risks, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, etc.).
(Master's degree or MBA is a plus.)
Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management, and operational strategy.
Proven experience managing large-scale projects or multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management tools and engineering software relevant to the industry.
Demonstrated ability to drive results, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Skills (Optional) :
PMP or Six Sigma Certification.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or agile methodologies.
Experience in budgeting and strategic planning.
Global or cross-cultural team management experience.
