Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership

Actively contribute to backend and frontend codebases. Lead architecture and design decisions for scalable SaaS systems. Step in to debug, prototype, and resolve complex technical issues. Set high standards for clean code, performance, and maintainability. Guide best practices in Laravel, React, APIs, and system design.

2. Engineering Delivery & Execution

Own sprint planning, estimation, and delivery commitments. Work closely with Product Managers to break requirements into clear tasks. Track team velocity and ensure

. Identify risks early and unblock dependencies to meet deadlines.

3. Code Quality & PR Governance

Define and enforce coding standards and PR processes. Review and approve critical pull requests. Mentor engineers on writing clean, modular, and scalable code. Ensure timely PR reviews and reduced cycle times.

4. People Management & Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and QA engineers. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth planning. Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability. Foster a culture of ownership, documentation, and continuous learning. Handle conflict resolution and team motivation.

5. Release & Quality Management

Oversee release cycles in collaboration with QA and DevOps. Ensure stable, predictable releases (fortnightly/monthly). Maintain low regression rates and zero critical production issues.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams. Align closely with CTO and Architects on scaling, security, and long-term vision. Translate business goals into technical execution plans.

7. Hiring & Onboarding

Interview and hire backend, frontend, and QA engineers. Define role expectations and competency frameworks. Create onboarding plans to make new hires productive within 30-45 days.

Required Experience & SkillsTechnical Requirements (Must-Have)

7-8 years of hands-on experience in Laravel (Laravel 8+ preferred)

4-5 years of experience with React.js

Strong experience in REST APIs, backend architecture, and system scalability. Solid understanding of frontend performance and UI best practices. Working knowledge of CI/CD, deployments, and production monitoring. Experience building and maintaining SaaS or product-based applications.

Leadership & Management Requirements

3-5+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams

. Proven experience in

team handling, task delegation, and performance management

. Experience scaling teams and mentoring junior to mid-level engineers. Strong execution mindset with ownership of delivery and outcomes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
