About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a set of interoperability services connecting healthcare providers with insurance payers. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, and specific expertise with the ANSI X12 standard transactions used by the U.S. healthcare system for provider-payer communications.
A Day in the Life

• Design and deploy connectivity services for prior authorization and other payer-provider use cases, using X12 standards
• Collaborate closely with the Innovaccer Flow application product and engineering teams to advance Innovaccer's prior authorization and related functionality
• Ensure alignment with and use of general Innovaccer interoperability services, in the X12 context
• Provide oversight and managerial guidance to team members
• Collaborate with interoperability product directors and managers to maintain development roadmaps for payer connection capabilities
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Share learnings from your health IT experience, and specifically your ANSI X12 expertise, with the overall Innovaccer product and engineering teams

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of experience in engineering
• 1+ years of experience managing other engineers
• Demonstrated experience deploying X12 interfaces
• Deep knowledge of the X12 standard
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR and specifically with Da Vinci Project profiles is a strong plus
• Expertise in Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence peers and management, and champion best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use
• Experience with agile development methodologies
