WHAT'S THE ROLE?
Engineering Manager is the primary technical resource for sales force and VE HUB, responsible for actively driving or supporting the different stages of projects and account developments. Working in conjunction with sales, business developers, logistic, BIM CC, HQ, PMOs, GTM, external partners or any other teams.
+ Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, supporting solutions and services in Energy [e.g. Thermal and Nuclear Power, Oil & Gas On-Shore and Off-Shore Plants, Shipbuilding], Industry [e.g. Vehicle, Machinery, Electronics, Data Centers], civil [ e.g. metro, railway, infrastructure, water treatment] and building constructional [ e.g. residential, commercial, education, retail, healthcare] related projects.
+ Engineering Manager to develop and manage a team of technical engineers, drafters & software specialist to obtain high competency to be able understand the customer needs, develop solutions, provide reliable and high-quality deliveries to assure complete customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage and develop a highly competent and high performing team of technical engineers, drafters, and software experts.
Communicate company goals and set individual target and provides help and support, coaching team members to reach their targets and carrier ambitions according company people development standards
Motivate team members and assess their performances and create an inspiring environment with an open communication culture
Oversee day to day operations and team members work for quality, efficiency, competency and profitability of value engineering Hub.
Continuously develop Team`s competence level in various relevant areas such as technical and soft skills in software knowledge and communication, presentation, coordination skills etc.
Drive key activities to ensure consistent service levels offered by PMO related to Integrated Design [BIM, Plant Design], prefabrication Services and all different level of PMO Services.
Maintain expert level of drafting and modelling related software such as REVIT, INVENTOR, AUTOCAD and basic understanding of Plant Design Software such as E3D, SP3D etc.
Maintain advanced level of product and application knowledge for all Hilti and Oglaend engineering relevant solutions such as modular support, firestop and cable tray, ladders systems.
Develop documentation packages for engineering related application & services such as high-quality 3D models, technical plans, details, shop drawings Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs /RFQs
Effectively communicates, understand, and convey customer and project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases
Manage pipeline and estimate, schedule, coordinate with multiple stakeholders (within & outside Hilti) for all PMO activities
and align with global and local colleague, engineering managers & project managers.
Develop and ensure to follow PMO / BIM / Hilti workflows and guidelines
Travel to project sites (As per requirement) or customer offices to attend meetings o Maintain knowledge of energy, industry and building construction related standards / guidelines
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Team Leaders
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Qualification:
Degree in engineering, preferably M.Tech Structural / Civil engineering min. 15+ years of experience
Professional in Revit, Inventor, Vault, BIM360, Navisworks and I-logic is a plus
Experience in plant design softwares such as E3D, S3D is a plus
Experienced with MDS / MEP modeling and coordination
Professional in documentation and presentation skills
Languages
Fluent in English, Hindi and any other languages are a plus
