About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Engineering Manager
to lead high-performing engineering teams in building scalable, maintainable, and reliable software systems. This is a
player-coach
role, where you will actively contribute to technical solutions while providing leadership and guidance to engineers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership
Drive the design, architecture, and development of scalable software solutions.
Contribute to the codebase when required and provide hands-on technical mentorship.
Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices around code quality, testing, and DevOps.
Collaborate with tech leads and product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations.
Project Delivery
Partner with project managers to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
Proactively identify and resolve technical and process-related bottlenecks.
Define, monitor, and analyze engineering KPIs to drive continuous improvement in delivery and system reliability.
Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to promote a learning culture.
Team Management
Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their career development and technical growth.
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to hiring efforts and ensure effective onboarding of new team members.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
RequirementsExperience
10-15 years of professional experience in software development.
Minimum 8 years of hands-on coding experience.
At least 2 years in a formal or informal engineering leadership or management role.
Proven experience mentoring engineers and/or leading technical initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA is a plus).
Technical Skills
Proficient in at least one backend language:
Node.js, Python, Go, or Java

Deep understanding of

Note: This role requires strong technical expertise. The Engineering Manager is expected to contribute hands-on to the codebase while leading the team, maintaining a balance between technical delivery and people management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
